Peer Academic Coaching

Build Confidence.
Strengthen Your Strategy.

Personalized academic support to help you develop strong habits, study smarter, and achieve your goals at WSU โ€” at no cost to you.

๐ŸŽฏ What is Peer Academic Coaching?

Peer Academic Coaches help students become independent, self-assured learners. Through ongoing conversations, a coach helps you develop and implement strategies to reach your academic goals โ€” not just finish assignments.

Coaches provide structure, study-skills building, and accountability. All current WSU students are eligible at no cost.

PAC is not tutoring โ€” coaches don't teach you the course content. They help you figure out how to learn it more effectively.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Academic Integrity at WSU

At Wright State University, academic integrity means being honest in your work and following university policies. Violations such as cheating or plagiarism are taken seriously and may have real academic consequences.

๐Ÿ“– What is Plagiarism?

Using someone else's work, ideas, or words without giving proper credit. This includes copying text, paraphrasing without citation, or submitting work that isn't your own.

๐Ÿค Collaboration vs. Cheating

Collaboration is working with others when your instructor permits it. Cheating is sharing or receiving answers without permission โ€” especially during exams or graded assignments.

โš–๏ธ What Happens After a Violation?

If a violation is suspected, the instructor meets with the student. Confirmed violations may result in a reduced grade, a failing assignment, or further disciplinary action.

๐Ÿ’ก Why It Matters

Academic integrity ensures fairness and protects the value of your degree. It also builds the honesty and responsibility expected of you professionally.

If you're ever unsure about citation or collaboration rules, ask your instructor before submitting your work โ€” not after.
